I’m an Antwerp storyteller of Belgian-Chinese descent. Since 2006 I regularly travel to Asia for personal and professional projects. Meanwhile I have visited Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Bali, Lombok, Java, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Malaysia and Sri Lanka.
In 2017 I produced the stories for Legends of Liondance, an expo about the cultural heritage and the history of Chinese lion dance, in Permeke library Antwerp.
In 2016 my photo series Faces of Asia was featured at the Travel Storytelling Festival in Brussels and at Lucky Number Three at the A-Tower in Antwerp.
For the Radio 2 series Back To The Roots I spoke at De Madammen’s about my origins.
In 2014 I participated in the exhibition Chinatown Antwerp at the MAS – Museum Aan de Stroom –, for which I produced digital stories about Chinese immigrants, including my own story.
In the context of my mixed background I write opinion pieces and articles about diversity, which have been published online on the website of the Flemish quality newspaper De Morgen.
I worked 6 years for the Belgian broadcasting company VRT as an editor for the channels Eén and Canvas.
